City Snow Closures

Affected City Services


Office of the Labor Commissioner:   Due to the conditions resulting from the inclement weather, City offices will delay opening until 10:00AM, today, Friday, February 19, 2021 for non-essential employees.  Non-essential employees may arrive to work up until 10:00AM without using leave. 

Essential employees and employees designated as emergency essential for the current event must report to work and remain at work as scheduled unless informed otherwise by their agency head, designee or immediate supervisors.


Baltimore Health Department:  For status updates please visit coronavirus.baltimorecity.gov/testing or follow the Baltimore City Health Department’s social media accounts for updates before coming to a testing site.


Department of Public Works (DPW):  Due to inclement weather, trash and recycling collections will be CANCELLED on Friday, February 19, 2021.  The make-up day for the Thursday collection cancellation is Saturday, February 20.  The make-up day for the Friday's collection cancellation is scheduled for Monday, February 22, 2021.

In addition, due to the expected inclement weather, the following DPW facilities will be CLOSED:

  • Northwest Citizens' Convenience Center, 2840 Sisson Street
  • Southwestern Citizens’ Convenience Center, 701 Reedbird Avenue
  • Eastern Citizens’ Convenience Center, 6101 Bowleys Lane

The following DPW facilities will remain OPEN:

  • The Northwest Transfer Station, 5030 Reisterstown Road
  • Quarantine Road Landfill, 6100 Quarantine Road

Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks:  Due to inclement weather, all recreation center meal sites are closed tomorrow, February 18, 2021. Meal service will resume on a modified schedule, February 19, 2021.
